TONIMER allergy

Description
Medical device for ophthalmic use. It is a sterile, preservative-free, medium-viscosity, physiologically pH-balanced and iso-osmotic solution containing hyaluronic acid, rosmarinic acid, and vitamin B12. TONIMER Allergy Eye Drops primarily have a hydrating and lubricating action. Hyaluronic acid is a biocompatible polymer and is naturally found in many human tissues. It gives the product a lubricating action thanks to its viscoelastic and water-retaining properties. Furthermore, it restores tear volume. Rosmarinic acid and Vitamin B12 are antioxidant substances that react with and neutralize free radicals. The antioxidant action occurs on the corneal surface. TONIMER Allergy Eye Drops support physiological antioxidative mechanisms and integrate and increase the aqueous component of the tear film, with the ultimate effect of promoting the maintenance or restoration of the trophism of ocular tissues. It is therefore particularly indicated for dry eyes, ocular allergies, and in cases of other ocular discomforts caused by environmental or mechanical stress. It is also indicated to shield and protect against UV radiation and blue light.
It alleviates the symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, even when associated with dry eye syndrome.
In fact, it restores tear volume, removes allergens from the tear film by inducing blinking due to the instillation of drops, and counteracts oxidative phenomena by enhancing physiological antioxidative mechanisms. It reduces the symptoms of mild or moderate dry eye, possibly accompanied by itching, burning, foreign body sensation, and redness, due to:
- environmental stress such as climate change, air pollution, dust, exposure to solar radiation, dry or very hot climates, air conditioning;
- mechanical stress, for example inefficient blinking due to prolonged computer use or driving, studying, prolonged contact lens use;
- age, menopause or post-menopause; physiological decrease in the absorption of vitamin B12 ingested through food;
- nutritional deficiencies such as reduced or insufficient vitamin intake;
- blepharitis. In this case, blinking after instilling eye drops also facilitates the detachment of any secretions present on the ciliary margin.

Directions for use
Wash and dry hands thoroughly before use. Tear off the tamper-evident seal before the first administration. Remove the protective cap. Press the container and instill 2 drops into each eye, unless otherwise prescribed. After dispensing the first drop, wait a few seconds before squeezing the bottle again. This will allow air to return to the system, facilitating the dispensing of the next drop. Due to the intrinsic characteristics of the bottle with a dispenser for preservative-free solutions, as the bottle progressively empties, greater pressure may be required to dispense the product. A small amount of solution always remains inside the bottle. After use, shake the bottle to remove any excess product before replacing the cap on the container. Immediately close the bottle with the cap after use. If, after use, the bottle is crushed, wait for it to return to its original shape before closing it with the appropriate cap. Do not touch the tip of the applicator, even with your eyes or fingers.

Components
Sodium hyaluronate 0.12%, rosmarinic acid (extracted from Coleus forskohlii) 0.020%, allantoin, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, vegetable glycerin, vitamin B12 0.010%, monobasic sodium phosphate monohydrate, dibasic sodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, water for injections.

Warnings
The product is for external ophthalmic use only. The product is for single-patient use. Do not use the product if the container is damaged or not perfectly sealed upon first opening. Do not use the product if particles and/or changes in the color of the solution are observed. During application, do not touch the eye or any other surface with the dispensing tip of the container. Do not use in case of known incompatibility with any component of the preparation. If you have severe damage to the outermost transparent layer of the eye (the cornea), the phosphates in this product can, in very rare cases, cause cloudy spots on the cornea due to calcium accumulation during treatment. No interactions with medications or other eye drops have been reported; however, wait 15 minutes before instilling any other eye drops. In case of discomfort during use, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. Dispose of the product according to local waste management regulations. Keep out of reach and sight of children. In case of pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use. For external use. Do not swallow. Do not attempt to unscrew or tamper with the bottle dispenser. Report any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State in which the user is established.
