Xiloial mono

CE medical device. Hydrating, lubricating ophthalmic solution containing lubricating and protective substances: Hyaluronic acid, mucomimetic, lubricant, Ts-Polysaccharide, balancing protective. Xiloial mono is an ophthalmic solution based on Ts-Polysaccharide (TSP), containing high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, obtained through biotechnological synthesis. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that gives rise to mucomimetic solutions with high lubricating properties; the viscosity of these solutions allows for a hydrating effect and stabilization of the tear film. Ts-Polysaccharide is a vegetable substance, extracted from the seeds of the tamarind plant (Tamarindus Indica), useful for the protection of the corneal-conjunctival surface. Ts-Polysaccharide forms a protective film on the ocular surface, which helps restore the normal physiological balance of the tear film and the ocular surface. The combination of the two substances therefore allows for a synergistic protective action on the corneal/conjunctival surface, against irritations due to physical environmental causes (wind, prolonged exposure to sunlight, cigarette smoke, dry air), visual stress (intense visual effort, computer screens) or mechanical factors (contact lenses, eye surgery).

How to use
After opening the protective pouch, separate one vial from the others. Open the vial by twisting and pulling the cap. Administer one drop of Xiloial mono into the eye, applying slight pressure on the body of the vial. The procedure can be repeated several times a day, as needed; Xiloial mono is compatible with contact lenses and it is not necessary to remove them before applying the ophthalmic solution.

Warnings
Do not use Xiloial mono if the vial is damaged. Avoid touching the eye with the tip of the vial. Do not use in case of known incompatibility to any component of the preparation. Allow 10-15 minutes between the instillation of Xiloial mono and the possible instillation of external ophthalmic drugs. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package. The formulation does not contain preservatives. Xiloial mono is packaged in convenient re-sealable vials that allow for repeated use throughout the day. Keep the preparation out of the reach and sight of children.

Storage
Use each vial within 12 hours of opening. Do not discard the vial into the environment after use.
