BENAGOL VIT C*24 LOZENGES ORANGE

BENAGOL 1.2 mg + 0.6 mg + 74.9 mg + 33.5 mg Lozenges with Vitamin C Orange flavour
2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol + amylmetacresol + sodium ascorbate + ascorbic acid

What it is and what it is used for
BENAGOL contains the active ingredients 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, amylmetacresol, vitamin C (sodium ascorbate, ascorbic acid) and is used to disinfect the mouth and throat.

BENAGOL Lozenges with Vitamin C Orange flavour are used in adults and children over 6 years of age.

Consult your doctor if you/the child do not feel better or feel worse after a short period of treatment.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not take/do not give BENAGOL to the child
- if you are allergic to 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, amylmetacresol, ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in paragraph 6);
- if the child is under 6 years of age.

Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking/giving BENAGOL to the child.
If you/the child experience allergic reactions or irritation, stop taking this medicine and consult your doctor (see paragraph Possible side effects).

Children and adolescents
Do not give BENAGOL to children under 6 years of age.
Pay attention to pre-school children as whole lozenges, if swallowed, can cause choking.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The following side effects may occur with the use of BENAGOL, in which case STOP taking this medicine and consult your doctor immediately:
- Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1000 people)
• Hypersensitivity (allergic reaction)
• Glossitis (inflammation of the tongue)

- Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data)
• Abdominal pain
• Nausea
• Gastrointestinal discomfort
• Skin rash
