ZINC GEL ELASTIC
Description
Class I Medical Device (Directive 93/42/EEC). Single-use. Non-sterile.
Zinc oxide bandage. Support and compression bandage. Easy to apply, skin-friendly, gelatine-free. It has high adhesiveness at the edges, which do not fray. Low moisture and quick-drying bandage.
Used in the management and treatment of phlebological conditions such as: venous ulcers, venous oedema, thrombophlebitis. For support and relief bandaging in the treatment of dislocations, sprains, contusions, tenosynovitis. Recommended after removal of plaster casts and in the management of post-traumatic oedema.
Latex-free.
Components
61% viscose, 39% polyamide.
Composition of zinc oxide paste:
Zinc oxide, Hydrocolloids, Dextrins, Glycerin, Purified water; Preservatives: E 216, E 218.
Zinc oxide paste: 78% ±2%
Warnings
Do not use in case of:
Peripheral arterial disease;
Myocardial insufficiency;
Septic phlebitis;
on patients with arterial diseases;
on diabetic patients with advanced vascular diseases.
Cover with a tubular bandage to prevent stains on clothing. To prolong the cooling effect and prevent skin irritation, keep the bandage moist daily. If the bandage is too stiff or too dry to remove, moisten with warm water.
Single-use product. Always apply to clean, dry skin. Do not apply the bandage with excessive tension to avoid constrictive ligatures. For dressing fixation, apply the bandage without tension from the centre towards the edge of the dressing. Never connect the end and pull the bandage to fix to the opposite end (may cause skin lesions).
Storage
Store in a cool (between 5°C and 30°C) and dry place.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 36 months.
