What it is and what it is used for
Antimicotico Same is a cream for external use containing the active ingredient clotrimazole, an antimycotic (antifungal) agent active against fungi and bacteria. Antimicotico Same is indicated:
• for all skin infections caused by fungi and yeasts: these can be located between the toes (athlete's foot - tinea pedis), in hairless areas (tinea corporis), in the groin area (tinea cruris - Hebra's marginal eczema), or may present irregular patches (pityriasis versicolor);
• for skin infections such as primary pyoderma and erythrasma (pink-brown scaly patches on the skin);
• for the prevention and treatment of superimposed skin infections due to yeasts (saccharomycetes) and Gram-positive bacteria.

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3-4 weeks.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Antimicotico Same
• if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Antimicotico Same.
• The use, especially prolonged use, of products applied to the skin can lead to sensitisation phenomena (allergy to one or more components). In this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor (see section 4 "Possible side effects").
• Use Antimicotico Same under the direct supervision of your doctor if you have a very extensive infection.
• Consult your doctor if you have previously suffered from these disorders (recurrent mycoses) and if you do not observe appreciable results after 3-4 weeks of continuous use.
• Avoid contact of the medicine with the eyes.

Children
In very young children, the product should be administered under the direct supervision of a doctor. In nappy rash, the use of non-breathable ("occlusive") nappies is not recommended after applying the cream.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The application of Antimicotico Same to the skin does not lead to absorption, so the possibility of systemic effects is highly unlikely.
During the use of Antimicotico Same, local intolerance reactions such as irritation, burning and itching, and allergic contact dermatitis may rarely occur.
Following the instructions in the leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
