The low-protein rusks, from the APROTEN product line, are characterized by: low content of proteins, sodium, phosphorus, and potassium, making them suitable for the dietary management of renal insufficiency (nephropathies); low content of tyrosine and phenylalanine, making them suitable for the dietary management of metabolic aminoacidopathies (phenylketonuria, tyrosinemia); low protein content, making them suitable for the dietary management of Parkinson's disease (in Levodopa therapy). For patients undergoing Levodopa therapy, the degree of any dysphagia and any problems of malnutrition due to deficiency that may arise in conditions of protein restriction should be evaluated.

Ingredients
De-glutinated wheat starch, rice starch, non-hydrogenated vegetable margarine (refined palm oil, water), honey (8%); thickeners: carob bean gum, guar gum; yeast; emulsifiers: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids; stabilizer: sorbitol; inulin.

May contain traces of milk, eggs, tree nuts, soy, lupin, and sesame seeds.
