Description
Azulene eye drops are an eye solution that lubricates and moisturizes the ocular surface, particularly indicated when the eye is dry and the ocular surface is damaged.
Hyaluronic acid promotes the re-epithelialization of damaged corneal epithelium, while the long chain prevents the formation of pro-inflammatory hyaluronic acid particles and enhances its lubricating action during blinking.
Thanks to its very high ability to incorporate water molecules, hyaluronic acid helps to replenish and stabilize the tear film.
EDTA acts as a chelating agent and is useful in all corneal pathologies caused by foreign bodies, especially alkaline cations. For this reason, it is particularly indicated in ocular surface pathologies due to air pollution and fine dust.
It also has the ability to reduce the osmolarity of tears, which is inherently high in cases of dry eye, increasing the bioavailability of water in the tear film.
