Description
Food supplement based on potassium citrate and magnesium citrate, useful for supplementing these nutrients in cases of reduced dietary intake or increased need. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, normal energy metabolism, electrolyte balance, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Potassium contributes to normal muscle function.

Warnings
For potassium intake, it is advisable to consult a doctor. Concomitant use of certain medications may also interfere with potassium retention in the body. Use is not recommended for children. BIOKMAG is contraindicated in patients suffering from hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or conditions that may predispose to the onset of such plasma alterations (such as chronic renal failure and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus). Concomitant intake of BIOKMAG and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) could lead to hyperkalemia. In these cases, it is advisable to monitor potassium levels. No interactions with other drugs are known. Rarely, during treatment, mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as abdominal heaviness, nausea, and occasionally diarrhea may be observed. These symptoms can be alleviated by taking BIOKMAG on a full stomach. If these or other unwanted effects occur, it is advisable to contact your doctor. The product contains polyalcohols: excessive consumption may have laxative effects. The product may promote the alkalinization of urine.
