BLEPHACLEAN
Description
Medical device.
Sterile wipe, impregnated with a lotion for daily eyelid hygiene.
Particularly indicated:
- in case of skin, eyelid or eye sensitivity;
- to remove dust, pollen and eyelid secretions;
- in case of eyelid inflammation or infection such as blepharitis, meibomian gland dysfunction, stye or chalazion;
- to clean eyelids before ophthalmic procedures such as therapeutic injections into the eye (intra-vitreal injections), refractive laser surgery (LASIK or PRK) and cataract surgery.
BLEPHACLEAN can also be used after surgery, under the supervision of a doctor or ophthalmologist.
BLEPHACLEAN respects the eye contour and the bacterial flora present.
The product has been tested under ophthalmic supervision.
Dermatologically tested.
Instructions for use
Before eye surgery, use twice a day for 5 days or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
In other cases, use twice a day, morning and evening, for 3 weeks and then once a day for 3 months or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
For chronic eyelid conditions, use for continuous long-term eyelid hygiene.
No special training is required to use BLEPHACLEAN.
For contact lens wearers: remove lenses before using BLEPHACLEAN.
Wash your hands thoroughly before using the wipes. Tear open the sachet (Figure 1) and unfold the wipe inside; do not use any tools to open the sachet. Wrap the wipe around the top of your index finger. Keeping your eye closed, gently rub the wipe over your eyelids and at the base of your eyelashes (Figure 2). Carefully massage your eyelids with small circular movements, gently removing crusts, secretions or make-up. In front of a mirror, gently pull down your lower eyelid with your other hand, then carefully rub the lower edge of your eyelids with a wipe wrapped around your finger. Repeat on the other eye, using a new wipe. Rinsing is not necessary after using BLEPHACLEAN wipes.
Components
Capryloyl glycine, sodium hyaluronate, PEG-8, poloxamer 184, polysorbate 20, Centella asiatica extract in propylene glycol (propylene glycol, Centella asiatica extract and water), sebum-regulating complex without preservative [propylene glycol, iris root extract, zinc sulfate, PPG-5 ceteth 20 and retinyl palmitate (vitamin A), alcohol and water], PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides (e.g. macrogol 6 glycerol caprylocaprate), dipotassium phosphate, sodium hydroxide, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, purified water.
Warnings
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Use only on the skin, do not insert directly into the eyes. Avoid getting BLEPHACLEAN in your eyes; it may cause a burning sensation. In this case, rinse with sterile water or saline solution.
Check that the package is intact before first use: use only if the sachet is not open.
Do not use any wipe more than once, as it may not work as well and may cause contamination.
You should contact a healthcare professional if symptoms worsen or do not improve.
Do not use BLEPHACLEAN if you are allergic to any of its components.
In the absence of sufficient data, do not use BLEPHACLEAN during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless medically prescribed.
Possible side effects: burning or itching sensation for a few minutes after use, redness or swelling of the eyelids, allergic reactions. In such cases, contact lens wearers should remove their contact lenses. If you notice any side effects or unusual sensations after using this product, contact a healthcare professional and report the information to your local distributor, manufacturer or local health authority.
Storage
Store at a temperature between 8 °C and 25 °C. Do not expose the product to direct light and humidity.
Discard the wipe immediately after use.
Do not use after the expiry date, which is indicated on the sachet and on the outer packaging.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month, provided the package is intact and has been stored correctly.
