BLEPHADEMODEX
Description
Medical device.
Sterile wipe, impregnated with a lotion for daily eyelid hygiene in the presence of a Demodex infection.
It is recommended for:
- daily eyelid hygiene in case of Demodex infection;
- alleviating symptoms of eyelid infection or inflammation (blepharitis) caused by Demodex.
BLEPHADEMODEX cleans crusts, dandruff, impurities, and infectious agents from eyelids and eyelashes. It improves symptoms related to Demodex infection, such as itching, burning, dryness, and inflammation of the eyelid margin. Eyelid redness and foreign body sensations are reduced.
Contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural moisturizing agent that soothes and regenerates sensitive skin.
The product has been tested under ophthalmological control.
Free from harsh detergents and preservatives.
Instructions for use
- Mild to moderate symptoms: use once a day, preferably in the evening, for 4 weeks.
- Moderate to severe symptoms: use twice a day, in the morning and evening, for 4 weeks.
The healthcare professional may adjust the dosage and duration of treatment according to the severity of the symptoms.
As with other similar treatments for blepharitis, the concomitant use of artificial tears should be recommended by healthcare professionals.
No special training is required to use BLEPHADEMODEX.
For contact lens wearers: remove lenses before using BLEPHADEMODEX.
Wash hands thoroughly before using the wipes. Tear open the sachet and unfold the wipe inside; do not use any tools to open the sachet. Wrap the wipe around your index finger. Keeping the eye closed, gently rub the wipe over the eyelids and at the base of the eyelashes. Carefully massage the eyelids with small circular movements, gently removing crusts or secretions. Repeat on the other eye, using a new wipe. BLEPHADEMODEX is non-greasy, and it is not necessary to rinse after use. Keep the eye closed for 15 seconds after use.

PEG-8, polysorbate 80, poloxamer 184, terpinen-4-ol, PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides macrogol 6 glycerol caprylocaprate, sodium hyaluronate, dipotassium phosphate, monopotassium phosphate, purified water.
Warnings
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Avoid getting BLEPHADEMODEX in the eyes; it may cause a burning sensation. In this case, rinse with sterile water or saline solution.
Check that the packaging is intact before first use: use only if the sachet is unopened.
Do not use any wipe more than once, as it may not work as well and may cause contamination.

Do not use BLEPHADEMODEX if you are allergic to any of its components.

The expiration date refers to the last day of that month, provided the packaging is intact and has been stored correctly.
Shelf life of unopened package: 24 months.
