Description
The Brava hydrocolloid elastic barrier strip is indicated to support and flatten the edge of the stoma appliance wafer by providing additional adhesion. It can be used on intact peristomal skin: thanks to its hydrocolloid composition, it has a protective and leveling action. It is available in four different formats: crescent; rectangular; with reinforcement; and crescent XL. Single-use product, it does not contain latex or phthalates.
Crescent elastic barrier strip: can be used in normal cases where it is necessary to prevent the appliance wafer from curling and detaching, when the wafer is oval/round.
Rectangular elastic barrier strip: can be used for the same function with rectangular/square wafers.
Elastic barrier strip with reinforcement: can be used on complex abdomens (very large, in the presence of incisional hernia, etc.) or in cases where a larger adhesive surface is needed to support the appliance wafer.
Crescent XL elastic barrier strip: can be used in cases where a larger adhesive surface is needed to level and prevent the appliance wafer from curling and detaching, when the wafer is oval/round, and to increase the user's sense of security and tolerance in case of misalignment.

Warnings
Reusing this single-use product may pose a potential risk to the user. Treatment, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization can compromise the product's characteristics, which in turn would lead to an additional risk of physical harm or infection for the patient. Before application, ensure that the products are at room temperature.
The product does not contain ecotoxic components, therefore it does not require special disposal protocols. Do not dispose of in the environment as it is not biodegradable.

Storage
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Store products horizontally in a cool, dry place. Products should not be stored at temperatures below 0.
Shelf life for intact packaging: 36 months.
