Broxo Din 200 mg/100 g mouthwash
chlorhexidine digluconate

What it is and what it is used for
Broxo Din is a disinfectant for the oral mucosa, containing chlorhexidine digluconate, which is an antibacterial substance.
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a few days.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use Broxo Din
- if you are allergic to the active ingredient or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and precautions
• Do not use for prolonged treatments; consult your doctor or dentist if you do not notice any improvement after a few days of treatment.
• The use, especially if prolonged, of products for local (topical) use can lead to sensitisation phenomena (excessive reaction of the body to foreign substances with which it has come into contact). In this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to start an appropriate therapy.
• If, following the use of the product, pain, swelling or irritation of the mouth should occur, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor or dentist.
• In the initial stages of treatment, taste alterations, numbness or burning of the tongue may occur. These are usually temporary effects that resolve with the use of the product. If they persist, consult your doctor or dentist.
• The product is for external use only and therefore should not be swallowed.
• Avoid contact with eyes or ears: if the product comes into contact with eyes or ears, wash immediately with water.
• If symptoms such as rash, swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face, or difficulty breathing (indicative of a severe allergic reaction) should occur, stop using the product and consult a doctor immediately. Also consult your doctor if you have had such disorders in the past.
• Chlorhexidine gluconate can cause superficial staining of the tongue, teeth and materials used in dentistry (for example, for fillings and prostheses).
To prevent staining, it is important to maintain daily oral hygiene using a toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss. It may be helpful to rinse with water between treatments with Broxo Din or at any time during the day.
Staining can be removed with a professional cleaning, although it may persist in case of damaged surfaces.
