CALMADOL
HOT-COLD PAD
Description
Class I Medical Device (Directive 93/42/EEC). Single-use. Non-sterile.
The Calmadol Hot-Cold gel pad, thanks to the benefits of heat and cold therapy, helps to relieve pain, reduces swelling in case of trauma, and reduces muscle tension, helping to improve the mobility of the neck, arms, shoulders, and legs. The pad is ergonomic and reusable.
Gel pad for external applications. The new 3-cell shape makes the pad ergonomic and adaptable to every part of the body. The soft fabric cover is resealable and has an elastic band that allows the pad to be positioned on the part (e.g., arm, shoulder, leg) without having to hold it with your hand.
Heat therapy provides the following benefits:
Stimulates blood circulation: heat improves blood flow through the dilation of blood vessels.
Relieves pain: heat reduces tension, relaxes, and improves mobility.
Increases the disposal of metabolic products: waste material produced by cellular tissues and muscles is eliminated more easily thanks to improved blood circulation.
Lumbago, stiff neck, rheumatism, hypothermia, and in all cases where heat application is required.
Cold therapy on the patient provides the following benefits:
Applied immediately after the traumatic event, it causes a reduction in swelling, alleviating inflammation.
Cooling of the tissues blocks sensory nerve endings, the sensation of pain, and promotes capillary constriction and tissue drainage.
Hematomas, sprains, trauma, hyperthermia, and in all cases where cryotherapy and the use of cold are required.
Instructions for use
- Heat therapy
Heat Calmadol Hot-Cold Pad in a basin of boiling water for a maximum of three minutes or in a microwave oven (twice for 30 seconds at 500 Watts); use the specific protective cover to apply the pad or, alternatively, place a dry cotton cloth between the pad and the skin; if the heat is unbearable, suspend the application for a few minutes.
- Cold therapy
Cool the pad by placing it in the refrigerator's ice compartment or inside the freezer for at least 1.5–2 hours; use the specific protective cover to apply the pad or, alternatively, place a dry cotton cloth between the pad and the skin; if the cold is unbearable, suspend the application for a few minutes.
Warnings
Before using the pad on the skin, wrap it in a soft cloth or its cover. In case of cardiovascular diseases, Raynaud's syndrome and/or diabetes, use the product only after consulting a doctor. In case of use on infants, children, and the elderly, consult a doctor before hot or cold treatment. Use with caution in case of poor sensitivity to heat or cold. In case of accidental gel leakage, do not swallow or inhale. In case of gel contact with skin and eyes, wash with plenty of water. Do not use the pad if damaged or cracked. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest the contents.
Format
Pouch with 1 piece.
