Description
Luja and Luja Pocket Male are flexible body urinary catheters for intermittent catheterization in men. They are self-lubricating, sterile, single-use, and measure 44 cm. Luja and Luja Pocket Male are compact products because they are easily transportable and discreet to dispose of.
Luja and Luja Pocket Male are the first and only catheters made with Micro-Hole Zone Technology, micro-holes located on the 6 cm near the tip of the catheter, which replace the two traditional holes typical of standard catheters. Luja's micro-holes ensure both complete bladder emptying in a single, uninterrupted flow and a reduced risk of urinary tract infections caused by vesical microtrauma.
All Luja catheters are ready-to-use and made with Triple Action Coating Technology, which ensures uniform lubricant distribution free of dry spots and a reduced risk of urinary tract infections caused by urethral microtrauma.
Luja and Luja Pocket Male catheters ensure no-touch insertion: they are entirely covered by a dry protective sheath, which provides protection from possible external contamination during insertion (caused, for example, by contact with the user's hands or other external objects). The catheters are already immersed in sterile physiological solution for the activation of the lubricating coating. The lubricating liquid is inserted between the catheter and the protective sheath, and for this reason, it is possible to handle the catheter without coming into contact with the liquid.
Luja and Luja Pocket Male have a flexible Nelaton tip that facilitates passage through the sphincter and urethra and a universal connector for connection to a urine collection bag. In the primary packaging, Luja and Luja Pocket Male are presented as a closed circuit, as the ends of the catheter are screwed together. This makes the catheters impermeable to bacteria.
Both primary packages are designed to ensure maximum discretion in terms of transportability and disposal. In particular, the primary packaging of Luja Pocket Male is pocket-sized, and therefore smaller, to ensure even more discretion and convenience.
The primary packaging of the two catheters guarantees the sterility of the product and, when closed, constitutes a sterile barrier for the device. After use, the catheter can be reinserted into its packaging for discreet and hygienic disposal.

Components
Luja and Luja Pocket catheters are made of PU (polyurethane) and have a hydrophilic coating of PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone).
The liquid in which they are immersed is a physiological solution composed of PEG (polyethylene glycol) and Sodium Chloride (NaCl) in purified water.
The primary packaging of the catheter is composed of a multi-layer of Matt lacquer/Printed PETP/PETP/PE PEEL.

Warnings
Not indicated for patients with a medical evaluation deeming them unsuitable for treatment.
