Catrine
Pearl Litter
Description
A simple and effective system for collecting urine samples from cats.
Catrine Pearl Litter does not absorb urine, unlike normal cat litter.
Instructions for use
Empty the normal litter from the cat's litter box and wash it thoroughly, rinsing with plenty of warm water to remove all residues.
Dry the litter box and pour in Catrine Pearl Litter, using the entire package. Reposition the litter box.
When the cat urinates in the litter box, the sample should be collected as follows:
1. Tilt the litter box and insert the tip of the pipette into the urine (the tip of the pipette must touch the bottom of the litter box).
2. Draw as much liquid as possible and transfer it into the plastic tube. Close the tube and mark it with the cat's information (e.g., name, date of birth, and owner's name).
The urine should be collected and delivered to the vet as soon as possible (if the cat has defecated before urinating, the faeces must be removed immediately to avoid contaminating the urine).
If it cannot be delivered to the vet immediately, the sample should be stored in the refrigerator – but for the shortest possible time.
