Cavilon Spray

NON-IRRITATING BARRIER FILM

A long-lasting, clinically tested skin protector that forms a clear, protective film when applied to the skin. It can be used on adults, children, and infants at least one month old, on stage 1 and 2 pressure sores with minimal exudate, incontinence-associated dermatitis, stomas, venous ulcers, adhesive-related skin injuries, and protection of perilesional areas. Especially indicated for application on large areas such as the sacral area, legs, etc., to protect red and irritated skin from urine, feces, or other body fluids.

Instructions for use
The skin must be clean and dry before application.
Hold the spray can 10-15 cm from the skin and apply a thin, even layer over the entire area to be treated, moving the spray in a circular motion.
If an area is not covered, reapply to that area only after the first application has dried (approx. 30 sec.).
If the spray is applied to an area with skin folds or areas of skin-to-skin contact, ensure these areas are separated to allow the skin to dry before returning to the normal position.
Reapplication is recommended at least every 48-72 hours (under normal conditions) or more frequently, if necessary.

Forms a long-lasting, impermeable barrier film when applied to the skin. Alcohol-free. Non-irritating when applied to severely excoriated, reddened, or broken skin. Petrolatum-free. Does not soak into diapers. Protects fragile skin from adhesive-related trauma. Spray application has been shown to reduce trauma from repeated bandage application. Transparent. Allows easy skin monitoring. Non-cytotoxic, non-sterile.

Storage
For best results, store the product at room temperature (15-30°C). Avoid exposure to excessive heat or humidity. The shelf life is three years from the date of manufacture, provided the product is stored correctly. The expiry date is stamped and clearly visible on each sales package and individual sachet.

Warnings
Must not be used as the sole protection in cases requiring the use of microorganism-impermeable dressings, such as:
intravenous insertion sites; partial or full-thickness wounds; on infected skin areas.
Ensure the product is completely dry before applying diapers or clothing. Applying too many layers may make the product stiff. Used under electrodes, it may alter the trace.
