CLOTRIMAZOLE DOC Generici 1% cream

What it is and what it is used for
CLOTRIMAZOLE DOC Generici contains the active ingredient clotrimazole, belonging to a group of medicines called antifungals, active against fungal growth.

This medicine is indicated for the treatment of skin infections and skin fold infections caused by fungi (mycoses), such as pityriasis versicolor, cutaneous candidiasis, tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea corporis.

What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use CLOTRIMAZOLE DOC Generici
- if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using CLOTRIMAZOLE DOC Generici.

Do not swallow the cream and avoid contact with eyes.

The use of CLOTRIMAZOLE DOC Generici, especially for prolonged periods, may cause allergic reactions (sensitisation). In this case, treatment must be stopped and you should contact your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you do not notice improvements after 3-4 weeks or if you experience a worsening or recurrence of symptoms.

Children
If the skin infection is in the nappy area (nappy rash), it is not recommended to use a non-breathable (occlusive) nappy after applying the cream.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The following side effects may occur:
Not known frequency (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data)
- allergic reactions with symptoms such as temporary loss of consciousness (syncope), decrease in blood pressure (hypotension), difficulty breathing (dyspnoea), urticaria;
- skin disorders such as blisters, discomfort and pain, swelling, irritation, erythema, shedding of the upper layer of the skin (desquamation), itching, rash, burning.
