VISMED
Description
Lubricating eye drops.
VISMED contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural polymer also present in the structures of the human eye. The particular physical characteristics of sodium hyaluronate give VISMED viscoelastic and water-absorbing properties. VISMED creates a stable coating on the surface of the eye, which is only slowly eliminated with blinking. Therefore, VISMED combines long-lasting relief with maximum comfort. VISMED is well tolerated due to its specific composition.
Symptoms and signs of dry eyes and/or damage to the ocular surface, without limits of severity, due to conditions such as superficial keratitis, Sjögren's syndrome, or primary dry eye syndrome. For lubricating the eyes in cases of dryness, burning, eye fatigue, and other minor discomforts without pathological relevance induced, for example, by dust, smoke, dry heat, air conditioning, wind, cold, prolonged use of monitors or contact lenses.
Directions for use
Wash your hands thoroughly before using VISMED. Unscrew the cap. Tilt your head back and position the tip of the container above the eye to be treated. Pull down the lower eyelid with your index finger. Squeeze the container and wait for a drop of VISMED to be released.
Unless otherwise recommended, instill 1 or 2 drops of VISMED into the eye whenever necessary. With the closing of the eyelids, the solution distributes itself and forms a transparent and long-lasting coating on the surface of the eye.
Components
1 ml of neutral pH solution contains 1.8 mg of sodium hyaluronate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, disodium phosphate, sodium citrate, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, and water for injections.
The solution is hypotonic.
Precautions
Do not touch the tip of the open container and do not touch the surface of the eye with the tip of the open container. Otherwise, the container must be disposed of immediately after use. Close the container after use. VISMED does not contain preservatives; for this reason, any solution not used within 12 hours of opening must be discarded. Otherwise, sterility is no longer guaranteed, and this can lead to a risk of infection. Do not use VISMED if the container is damaged. If discomfort persists while using VISMED, consult a doctor.
Do not use VISMED simultaneously with any medication or other product applied to the eye, as this could alter its effects. Wait at least 15 minutes before instilling other eye products.
Storage
Store below 30 °C in a dry place and away from light! Do not freeze. Do not use VISMED after the expiry date indicated on the container and outer packaging. Keep out of reach of children! Empty and unused VISMED containers can be disposed of in household waste.
Format
20 single-dose containers of 0.3 ml.
