DECONOVA

Description
Food supplement of magnesium, zinc and copper with alpha-lipoic acid, devil's claw, California poppy, spiny restharrow and feverfew; indicated for providing a supplementary intake of these nutrients in cases of deficiency or increased need. The nutritional components present in the product can contribute to: normal muscle function (magnesium); the maintenance of normal connective tissues (copper); the protection of cells from oxidative stress (copper and zinc). Plant extracts can: promote joint function (devil's claw and feverfew); counteract localized tension states (feverfew); promote a state of relaxation (California poppy) and promote the drainage of body fluids (spiny restharrow).

Properties
-Ononis spinosa (d.e.): the roots and rhizomes of this plant are used; it has an antispasmodic and muscle relaxant action on smooth muscles, also promoting a mild diuretic action.
-California poppy (d.e.): the aerial parts of this plant are rich in protopine which exerts an analgesic and muscle relaxant action and is particularly indicated in cases of conditions characterized by muscle spasms.
-Devil's claw (d.e.): in addition to the well-known anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic action of the phytocomplex, devil's claw is also able to exert an analgesic and hypouricemic action, thus making it a useful adjuvant in the treatment of gouty states.
-Feverfew (d.e.): the aerial parts (flowers and leaves) of this plant belonging to the Composite family are rich in sesquiterpene lactones, of which parthenolide is the main representative. Feverfew has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory action, and, as regards the mechanism of action, an inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis has been demonstrated, which appears to be mediated by an inhibitory effect on phospholipase. The anti-inflammatory action of parthenolide would also be contributed by an inhibitory effect on both the 5-lipo-oxygenase enzyme and on the activation of inducible forms of cyclooxygenase and nitric oxide synthase enzymes.
-Alpha-lipoic acid: from a metabolic point of view, it acts as a cofactor for numerous enzymes involved in the glucose conversion process, but some of its structural characteristics make it extraordinarily effective as an antioxidant and therefore indispensable for counteracting the damage associated with the formation of free radicals. In this specific case, it acts by improving the speed of nervous communication and exerts a normalizing action on nervous sensitivity, thereby reducing both pain and sensory torpor.
-Zinc: it is an essential mineral and, in terms of quantity, it is the second most abundant in the body. It plays an essential role both in the absorption and utilization of vitamins and in the constitution of most enzymes with metabolic action. For this reason, it is absolutely fundamental for good muscle function.
-Magnesium: it presides over ion transport mechanisms, allows muscle contraction and the function of cellular ion pumps. It plays a fundamental role in the metabolism of lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, participates in the synthesis of ATP and stabilizes it in the cytoplasm. For these multiple reasons, it is essential for the physiological functioning of both voluntary and involuntary muscles.
-Copper: it is an essential element for the human species. In various tissues, it acts mainly as a cofactor for numerous enzymes, which in turn are involved in various physiological functions, and is also contained in some proteins. Its action is important for the mineralization of the skeleton and for the formation of new red blood cells and connective tissue.
