Description
Food supplement based on Quatrefolic folic acid, vitamins, and minerals. Folic acid contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and normal hematopoiesis; iron promotes the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin; vitamin B1 contributes to normal energy metabolism; vitamin B2 contributes to the maintenance of normal red blood cells, while vitamins B6 and B12 contribute to the normal formation of red blood cells. Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. The target population is women of childbearing age, and the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily supplementary intake of 400 mcg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
