Description
Product with a high L-5-methylfolate content for the dietary management of subjects with hyperhomocysteinemia resulting from a confirmed genetic deficiency of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase. In the presence of specific coenzymes, vitamin B12, B6, B2, and zinc, L-5-methylfolate is able to provide the methyl group necessary for the reconversion of homocysteine to methionine, even in the presence of the genetic defect.

Ingredients
Betaine hydrochloride; bulking agents: microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate, hydroxypropylcellulose; zinc citrate; stabilizer: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids; anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids; vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), L-5-methylfolate calcium, vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin).

Warnings
The product must be used under medical supervision. The product is not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition. Due to its high folate content, the product is contraindicated for subjects who do not have hyperhomocysteinemia. Keep out of reach of children under three years of age. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
