Fortiral

Description
A high-protein food for special medical purposes, made of undenatured whey proteins with high biological value (PD18PR). The intake of whey proteins with high biological value is particularly useful in the dietary management of subjects with skeletal muscle mass loss (sarcopenia) due to malnutrition, aging or chronic diseases. Sarcopenia can occur as a result of oncological diseases, chemotherapy or radiation treatments, immunological diseases, dialysis, neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), pre- and post-surgery.

Directions for use
It is recommended to take 1 or 2 sachets per day. Place 1 or 2 sachets of soluble Fortiral in a glass. Add 150 to 200 ml of water or any other cold beverage (milk, tea) or at room temperature. Stir briefly (do not use a blender) and drink immediately. Given its solubility, 1-2 sachets of Fortiral can be diluted in 500–1,000 ml of water, according to the patient's calculated fluid and protein needs, administered through a nasogastric tube and/or PEG, as per medical judgment.

Warnings
The minimum shelf life refers to the product in an unopened and properly stored package. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Use under medical supervision. The product should not be used as the sole source of nutrition.

Store in a cool, dry place.
