KELASTIC
Silicone Sheeting
Description
Soft, thin, reusable, and self-adhesive silicone gel sheet. It is primarily made of medical-grade silicone.
Kelastic Lamina is effective in managing both old and new hypertrophic or keloid scars, and as a prophylactic treatment for closed wounds to prevent hypertrophic or keloid scars. Do not use on broken skin.
Instructions for use
Wash your hands before using Kelastic Lamina.
Gently clean the scar and surrounding skin with a mild soap and rinse with clean lukewarm water. Thoroughly dry the scar and surrounding skin.
Take the silicone sheet from its packaging. Cut the silicone sheet, if necessary, to fit the size of the scar with a small overlap onto the surrounding skin. Remove the film from the silicone sheet. Apply Kelastic Lamina with the adhesive side onto the scar, without stretching it. If necessary, use a light dressing or adhesive tape to keep the silicone sheet in place.
Wash the silicone sheet, the scar, and the surrounding skin at least twice a day with mild soap and rinse with clean lukewarm water.
Warnings
For external use only.
Use temporarily in the treatment of old and new hypertrophic or keloid scars.
Use temporarily as a prophylactic treatment for closed wounds to prevent hypertrophic or keloid scars.
Do not use on broken skin.
Wash the product twice a day with a mild, non-oily soap (baby soaps are recommended) and rinse with clean lukewarm water. Once dry, Kelastic Lamina can be reapplied to the scar. Avoid using irritating detergents as they may cause skin irritation. Do not use paper products to dry the sheet as they may adhere to the sheet itself.
During warm periods or during physical activity with increased perspiration, the sheet should be cleaned more often to maintain optimal contact with the skin.
If possible, apply Kelastic Lamina for no less than 20 hours a day. During therapy, apply for a minimum of 12 hours a day.
For better skin acclimatization, start by applying Kelastic Lamina for 4 hours a day for the first two days, 8 hours for the next two days, and increase the wearing time by two hours a day until the optimal therapy time of 24 hours a day is reached.
It is recommended to cleanse the scar before using the sheet to reduce symptoms of discomfort and itching.
Avoid applying ointments to the treated area as they may interfere with the product's performance.
When Kelastic Lamina begins to deteriorate or becomes difficult to clean, it should be replaced. Effective therapy results can be achieved in 2-4 months of continuous treatment.
In case of a rash on the treated area, the daily application time can be reduced. If the rash persists, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor. Do not use on unhealed wounds.
Side effects that may occur are as follows: superficial skin maceration; rash; itching.
Avoid using Kelastic Lamina if you are allergic to silicone rubber.
Do not use on unhealed wounds.
