NEPROST
Description
Neprost is a medical device based on plant extracts useful as an adjuvant in treatments aimed at maintaining the properties of the prostate gland or known for their beneficial properties on the functions of the urinary system. It can have a beneficial effect in inflammatory conditions of the prostate and in actinic proctitis (induced by radiotherapy) or of other nature. The product is suitable for short-term use for constipation and hemorrhoidal congestion through a soothing action.
Directions for use
One suppository a day is recommended, preferably in the evening before going to bed. For optimal functioning, it is recommended to correctly apply the suppository, ensuring correct insertion into the deepest part of the rectal ampulla.
Neprost suppositories may reduce the transit time in the intestine, and consequently also the absorption of other medicines taken orally at the same time; it is therefore advisable, after taking an oral medicine, to wait at least 2 hours before taking Neprost.
Components
Lactoferrin, Glycerophosphoinositol, Hyaluronic acid.
Warnings
Avoid, as far as possible, taking Neprost while using other devices or medicinal specialties.
In any case, consult your doctor before taking Neprost if you are currently undergoing pharmacological treatments.
No known short or medium/long-term side effects have been reported. Neprost does not negatively affect sensory abilities (attention level, ability to drive or perform activities). However, if undesirable effects such as excessive irritation, pain or any discomfort that may appear related to the use of the medical device occur, immediately stop the treatment and contact your doctor.
The non-uniform dark color that the suppository may exhibit is a characteristic of the product, and is not an indication of degradation of efficacy or improper storage.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging and blister.
Neprost is not sterile; however, it is advisable not to use the suppositories if the primary packaging (blister) is damaged.
Each suppository is for single use and must be removed from the package only immediately before use: do not use broken suppositories or suppositories removed from the blister at unknown times, as this method of use could entail risks of product contamination.
Do not attempt to reuse suppositories that have accidentally come out after the first attempt to use.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
In case of ineffectiveness of the medical device after correct use according to the recommended dosage, discontinue use and contact your doctor.
The abuse of laxatives, especially contact laxatives (stimulant laxatives), can cause dependence, chronic constipation and loss of normal intestinal functions (intestinal atony), persistent diarrhea with consequent loss of water, mineral salts (especially potassium) and other essential nutrients. In the most serious cases of abuse, dehydration or hypokalemia may occur, which can lead to cardiac or neuromuscular dysfunctions, especially in cases of concomitant treatment with cardiac glycosides, diuretics or corticosteroids.
Do not use below 12 years of age.
The intake of Neprost is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity of the user to any of the components.
Also, do not use in case of:
- acute or unknown abdominal pain;
- nausea or vomiting;
- intestinal obstruction or stenosis;
- rectal bleeding of unknown origin;
- acute hemorrhoidal crisis with pain and bleeding;
- severe state of dehydration.
Neprost can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but only in cases of real necessity and only after consulting your doctor.
Elderly subjects or those in poor health should in any case consult their doctor before using Neprost.
