Description
Gel for the prevention and adjunctive treatment of lesions caused by human papillomavirus (HPV).
- Creates a defensive barrier that prevents the risk of HPV integration and the formation of new lesions.
- Adjuvant in the re-epithelialization of existing lesions.
- Stimulates the regeneration of the vaginal microbiota.
Papilocare is indicated for:
- controlling and contributing to the re-epithelialization of the cervical transformation zone to prevent the risk of lesions (LSIL) caused by HPV;
- the adjunctive treatment of intraepithelial lesions caused by HPV;
- repairing and contributing to the re-epithelialization of cervicovaginal mucosal lesions;
- treating cervicovaginal mucosal dryness;
- rebalancing the vaginal microbiota;
- improving vaginal health;
- creating conditions for rapid healing of lesions caused by friction due to burning or itching;
- forming a protective film that rapidly reduces discomfort, creating ideal conditions to promote the natural healing process.
The main components of the formulation are:
- substances that allow the formation of a mucoadhesive gel on the cervicovaginal mucosa, creating a protective film that enhances the barrier action of the product;
- hyaluronic acid niosomes, with tissue moisturizing action, which help maintain elasticity;
- beta-glucan niosomes: thanks to their antioxidant properties, they maintain the natural structure and function of the skin and mucous membranes;
- Centella asiatica phytosomes, with a reparative action on damaged mucous membranes;
- Coriolus versicolor extract, with re-epithelializing and repairing action on cervicovaginal lesions and micro-lesions;
- neem extract, with emollient properties that promote the natural healing process;
- BioEcolia, a prebiotic that stimulates the growth of beneficial bacterial flora and rebalances the microbiota in the cervicovaginal area;
- aloe vera extract with moisturizing, re-epithelializing and repairing action on the cervicovaginal area.
The use of Papilocare is recommended for women (adults) who test positive for human papillomavirus (HPV), regardless of the presence of lesions caused by the virus (ASCUS or LSIL).

Instructions for Use
The treatment duration is 6 months, with the possibility of extending the period further based on medical prescription. It is important to complete the entire course of treatment to achieve the expected results.
It is recommended to start treatment after the menstrual cycle.
First month: apply one cannula daily for 21 consecutive days, then suspend treatment for the following 7 days.
Subsequent months (from the second to the sixth): apply one cannula every other day for 21 days.
Suspending Papilocare treatment during the menstrual cycle is recommended only for the convenience of patients; there are no clinical incompatibilities.
Apply preferably before going to bed.
It is compatible with condom use.
Discard any cannula that is open or broken. The cannula is designed to facilitate product administration. Insert the cannula into the vagina and apply pressure to release its contents. Then withdraw the cannula from the vagina while keeping it pressed to prevent it from re-aspirating the dispensed product.
Some gel may remain inside the cannula; this does not mean that a dose lower than recommended has been dispensed, as the cannula releases sufficient quantity to cover the cervicovaginal mucosa (3 ml). Discard the cannula after use. Do not reuse a used cannula or share it with other patients.

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children.
Consult a doctor in case of pregnancy.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
If discomfort is experienced after application, discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor.
No data is available on the use of Papilocare together with contraceptives (e.g., vaginal ring or female condom), so Papilocare is not recommended for women using these types of contraceptives. In case of pregnancy, consult your doctor before using Papilocare and use it under strict medical supervision.

Storage
Store at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 42 months.
