REDOX
drops
Description
A dietary supplement of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), the body's first line of defense against free radicals, ensuring protection from oxidizing agents that are toxic to cells. Its central role in the proper functioning of the immune system is widely recognized. Its numerous functions are attributable to its ability to reversibly oxidize and reduce (oxidation-reduction or redox reaction):
- regenerates the anti-free radical activity of vitamin E in tissues;
- promotes the reduction of folic acid into its coenzymatic forms;
- promotes intestinal absorption of iron by reduction from Fe3+ to Fe2+.
Ascorbic acid is the fundamental cofactor of enzymes that catalyze hydroxylation reactions of proline and lysine for the formation of collagen, the main protein of connective tissue. Vitamin C deficiency can cause alterations in the blood vessel walls with the appearance of hemorrhages.
Ingredients
Directions for use
From 0 to 1 year: 5-10 drops per day; over 1 year: 10 to 20 drops per day.
It can be used as is, diluted in any drink or simply in water. For a snack, a few drops can be mixed with grated fruit to prevent oxidation and promote the absorption of nutrients contained in it.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet.
Format
15 ml dropper bottle.
