Description
Orthosis for stabilizing the trapeziometacarpal joint in the functional position of the thumb, while maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and the hand's gripping ability. Rigid radial splint for relative immobilization of the first ray of the hand. Comfortable padded lining. Elastic wrist strap and thumb tab with hook-and-loop closure.
The medical device provides thumb stabilization. The medical device provides pain relief and functional improvement in cases of carpometacarpal osteoarthritis.

Instructions for use
Insert the hand into the orthosis so that the splint is aligned with the thumb and the last phalanx is free. Tighten the hook-and-loop closure on the wrist to achieve firm yet comfortable support. Pull the tab with the hook-and-loop closure, wrapping it around the thumb, passing between the thumb and index finger from the dorsal to the palmar side. Then secure the tab with the hook-and-loop closure.
For washing: wash by hand in warm water with neutral soap or detergent, rinse well, gently wring, and lay flat to dry. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.

When adjusting the straps, pull them so they are stable but comfortable. The brace should not be used if relative or absolute immobilization or surgical intervention is required.

Store in a dry environment away from excessive heat and light.
