Description
A medical device capable of effectively alleviating symptoms related to swelling of both the stomach (aerophagia) and intestines (flatulence) due to gas accumulation. It reduces associated cramps and pains and prevents flatulence and belching.
The device's effectiveness is due to the antifoaming action of simethicone, combined with the adsorbent action of activated charcoal against intestinal gases: the action is therefore based exclusively on mechanical phenomena.
The bilayer tablet conformation allows approximately 50% of the ingredients to be released in the gastric environment within 15 minutes of taking the device, while complete disintegration of the tablet occurs in the intestinal environment within 1 hour.
The components are not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and do not interfere with nutrient absorption.

Instructions for use
• Adults: It is recommended to take 1 or 2 tablets at the end of each main meal, up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day.
• Adolescents aged 14 to 18: 1 tablet at the end of each main meal, up to a maximum of 2 tablets per day.

Remove the tablet from the blister, taking care not to break it, and take it with a glass of water.

Components
One bilayer tablet contains: 50 mg of simethicone, 300 mg of charcoal.
Excipients: maltodextrin, sucrose, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone, colloidal silica, croscarmellose sodium, polyvinylpolypyrrolidone, glyceryl behenate, silicon dioxide, vegetable magnesium stearate.

Warnings
Do not use below 14 years of age.
Keep the device out of reach of children.
In cases of individuals with difficulty swallowing, it is advisable to take the medical device with plenty of water.
Do not use the device after the expiry date shown on the packaging and blister.
Do not use if the package is damaged.
Each tablet is for single use and should only be removed from the package immediately before use; do not attempt to reuse partially used (crushed or broken) tablets or tablets removed from the blister at unknown times, as such a method of use could entail risks of product contamination.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
Do not use in the presence of known gastric or intestinal lesions.
Do not use in case of intestinal blockage.
Do not take the medical device concurrently with other medical devices or oral medications: the adsorbing power of activated charcoal and simethicone could reduce their effectiveness. Consult your doctor if you are undergoing drug therapies.
Simethicone can hinder the effect of certain reagents used in diagnostics, such as guaiac gum.
Taking the device is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity of the user to any of the components.
As there is insufficient data to support its use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in these cases, use the device only when truly necessary and only after consulting your doctor.
At recommended doses, a brown discoloration of the stools may be observed due to the presence of charcoal. This phenomenon is completely normal and does not imply any pathological significance.
No known short- to long-term side effects have been reported.
The device does not adversely affect sensory abilities (attention level, ability to drive or perform activities).

Storage
Store the tablets in the blister in a dry place away from direct light or heat sources: only remove the tablets when using. Store the device below 25 °C.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 30 months.
