SOLPROST

Description
Solprost is a medical device based on plant extracts useful as an adjuvant in treatments aimed at maintaining the properties of the prostate gland or known for their beneficial properties on the functions of the urinary system. It can have a beneficial effect in inflammatory conditions of the prostate and in actinic proctitis (induced by radiotherapy) or of other nature. The product is suitable for short-term use for constipation and in hemorrhoidal congestion through a soothing action.

Instructions for use
One suppository a day is recommended, preferably in the evening before going to bed. For optimal functioning, it is advisable to correctly apply the suppository, ensuring its correct insertion into the deepest part of the rectal ampulla.
Solprost suppositories can reduce the transit time in the intestine, and consequently also the absorption of other medicines taken simultaneously orally; therefore, it is advisable, after taking an oral medicine, to wait at least 2 hours before taking Solprost.

Components
Lactoferrin, Glycerophosphoinositol, Hyaluronic acid.

Warnings
Avoid, as far as possible, taking Solprost while using other medical devices or medicinal specialties. In any case, consult your doctor before taking Solprost if you are undergoing drug therapies.
There are no known short- or medium/long-term side effects. Solprost does not negatively affect sensory abilities (attention level, ability to drive or perform activities). However, if undesirable effects such as excessive irritation, pain or any discomfort that may appear related to the use of the medical device occur, immediately suspend treatment and consult your doctor.
The uneven dark color that the suppository may present is a characteristic of the product and is not an indication of degradation of effectiveness or poor preservation of the same.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package and blister.
Solprost is not sterile; however, it is advisable not to use the suppositories if the primary packaging (blister) is damaged.
Each suppository is single-use and must be extracted from the package only immediately before use: do not use broken suppositories or those extracted from the blister at unknown times, as such a method of use could entail risks of product contamination. Do not attempt to reuse suppositories that have accidentally come out after the first attempt at use.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
In case of ineffectiveness of the medical device after correct use according to the recommended dosage, suspend use and consult your doctor.
The abuse of laxatives, especially contact laxatives (stimulant laxatives), can cause dependence, chronic constipation and loss of normal intestinal functions (intestinal atony), persistent diarrhea with consequent loss of water, mineral salts (especially potassium) and other essential nutritional factors. In the most severe cases of abuse, dehydration or hypokalemia may occur, which can lead to cardiac or neuromuscular dysfunctions, especially in case of simultaneous treatment with cardiac glycosides, diuretics or corticosteroids.
Do not use under 12 years of age.
The assumption of Solprost is not recommended in case of known hypersensitivity of the user to one of the components. Also, do not use in case of:
- acute abdominal pain or pain of unknown origin;
- nausea or vomiting;
- intestinal obstruction or stenosis;
- rectal bleeding of unknown origin;
- acute hemorrhoidal crisis with pain and bleeding;
- severe state of dehydration.
Solprost can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but only in cases of real need and only after consulting your doctor.
Elderly subjects or those in poor health should in any case consult their doctor before using Solprost.
