Stopper

CE 0426 Medical Device, class IIa. Stopper is effectively used in cases of accelerated intestinal transit (acute and chronic diarrhea), in the presence of an ileostomy or ileoanal anastomosis, or following digestive system surgery, including bariatric surgery, in cases of diarrheal bowel movements due to irritable bowel, in cases of "traveler's diarrhea," or to improve fecal continence in the presence of loose stools. Lemon flavor.

Ingredients
1 sachet: 3.00 g of Diosmectite.

Directions for use
The daily amount of Stopper to be taken varies and depends on the individual condition of the Patient and/or the Doctor's advice. Indicatively:
- for acute diarrhea, 1-2 sachets after each bowel movement;
- for fecal incontinence and chronic diarrhea, 1 to 3 sachets per day, starting with 1 sachet and gradually increasing the dose to prevent an imbalanced increase in stool consistency.
The product is an oral suspension, already dosed, so it can be taken as is or diluted in an equal amount of water.
Use in children:
- children over 6 years of age: 2-3 sachets per day;
- children over 1 year of age: 1-2 sachets per day.

Interactions
Cardiac glycosides, alkaloids, estrogens, chloroquine, clindamycin, digoxin, lincomycin.

Warnings
Take the product at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after other medications, especially when undergoing therapy with the aforementioned drugs. If the symptom does not subside, consult your Doctor.

Side effects
Constipation.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Only if necessary and after consulting your treating Doctor.

Diabetic individuals
Permitted.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Diosmectite. Diarrhea secondary to pseudomembranous enterocolitis and, in general, to severe organic pathologies affecting the gastrointestinal tract.
