How to use
Information before use
- Cleaning and storage:
Please ensure the sensor is clean to ensure accurate measurements.
The sensor is the most delicate part of the thermometer. Exercise caution when cleaning the sensor to avoid damage.
a. Use alcohol wipes or cotton swabs moistened with 70% ÷ 75% alcohol to clean the sensor.
b. Allow the sensor to dry for at least 1 minute.
c. Keep the product dry and away from liquids or direct sunlight.
d. Storage temperature: must be stored under the following conditions -20÷+50°C, RH≤85%.
e. The sensor should not be immersed in liquids.
Holding the thermometer in your hand for too long may result in a higher ambient temperature reading than actual.
This could make body temperature measurement lower than it actually is.
- Battery replacement:
When the battery icon shows that the batteries are running low, they must be immediately replaced with two AAA batteries.
1. Open the battery cover: use your thumb to push out the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert the two AAA batteries.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Measuring body temperature
Press the ON/MEM button to turn on the device. Forehead mode is the default mode. The icon appears on the display and two beeps are emitted. In this mode, the thermometer should be held at a distance of 4 cm from the center of the forehead and the START button pressed to obtain the forehead measurement. The time required for measurement is 1 second. After each forehead measurement, wait for the icon to stop flashing before the next measurement.
Points of attention:
a) Forehead temperature is displayed in oral mode, i.e., the forehead temperature is converted and its oral equivalent value is displayed.
b) Before measurement, the subject must remain in the same environment for 5 minutes and avoid physical exercise and bathing in the preceding 30 minutes.
c) The forehead area must be clean and free of sweat, cosmetics, and scars during temperature measurement.
a. Clinical bias -1.4÷-1.7°C.
b. Limits of agreement 0.98.
c. Repeatability 0.20°C.
Cleaning and disinfection
For household disinfection of the device, use 70% concentrated alcohol (ethanol or isopropyl alcohol), available in pharmacies.
Clean the measuring sensor after each use. Use a clean cloth or a cotton swab moistened with 70% concentrated alcohol.
For cleaning the entire device, use a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild soapy solution. Avoid liquid infiltration inside the device. Do not reuse until completely dry.
