Dr. GIBAUD ORTHO
FINGER SPLINT
Description
Medical Device Class I Reg. (EU) 2017/745 and subsequent amendments.
Finger-wrist splint, moldable to maintain flexion of the metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints. The medical device provides immobilization and effective treatment for injuries to the long fingers of the hand.
Can be used in a palmar or dorsal position.
Fixed distal and proximal straps and two repositionable intermediate straps.
Instructions for use
Open the four straps. Place the injured finger together with the longest adjacent finger on the splint. Close the strap at the end of the fingers and the wrist strap. Tighten the intermediate straps, one around the fingers and the other around the hand. These two straps can be repositioned along the hook-and-loop closures.
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, it is advisable to mold the splint to achieve 60°-70° flexion of the metacarpophalangeal joint, 10°-20° flexion of the proximal interphalangeal joint, and extension of the distal interphalangeal joint.
Washing
Hand wash in lukewarm water with neutral soap or detergent, rinse well, wring gently, lay flat to dry. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.
Components
100% polyamide.
Splint 100% aluminum.
