Description
A probiotic food supplement that promotes the balance of intestinal flora.
VSL3 is a mixture of live, freeze-dried lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria. Eight different strains of bacteria have been selected, grown in specific culture media, and then mixed in proportions to optimize the product's functionality.
Each capsule contains 112 billion vital bacterial cells.

Ingredients
Maltose; mixture of live lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria: Streptococcus thermophilus BT01, Bifidobacterium breve BB02, Bifidobacterium longum* BL03, Bifidobacterium infantis* BI04, Lactobacillus acidophilus BA05, Lactobacillus plantarum BP06, Lactobacillus paracasei BP07, Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus** BD08; hydroxypropyl methylcellulose capsule, corn starch; anti-caking agents: magnesium stearate, stearic acid, silicon dioxide; bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose.
Free from synthetic colors and sweeteners.
Does not contain soy allergens or milk proteins.
*Recently reclassified as Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis.

Gluten-free and lactose-free.

How to use
The recommended dose is 1-2 capsules per day. For correct dosage in children, consult a doctor.

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children under three years of age. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. As a food supplement, the product should not be intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
The product contains live lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria, which are heat-sensitive: it is therefore recommended to avoid exposure to heat sources or sudden changes in temperature, to store it in a dry place, away from light and at refrigerated temperatures.
No undesirable effects due to ingestion have been reported. In some cases, abdominal bloating may occur in the first few days of taking the product, particularly if the diet is rich in carbohydrates and fats. This effect is transient.

Storage
Must be kept at refrigerated temperatures (2°-8°C) and away from light.
The product can, however, be stored for one week at room temperature (maximum: 25°C) without significant alterations in the number of vital bacteria. The minimum shelf-life indicated on the package refers to the product correctly stored, in unopened packaging.
